  • Adriatic Palace Hotel Pattaya [PH01; P,G] – http://www.adriaticpalace.com/Pattaya/Home.php?lang=eng; +66 38 364 333; Imagine a decadent old world Eastern European resort, but set on a tropical beach. As you would expect, this place is very popular with the Russian travelers. Given the exquisite décor around the hotel, the rooms themselves seem a tad bland. Still very comfortable, but for the price, you might expect something a bit more extravagant. Still, the facilities and location are nice. Pricing from B2,900.
  • Asia Pattaya Beach Hotel [PH02; P,G,T] – http://www.asiahotel.co.th/asia_pattaya.htm; +66 38 250 401-11; This is the Pattaya instalment of the long running Asia Hotel group. The resort also houses the famous Cabbages and Condoms restaurant (vegetarian seafood). Rooms are well spaced, but the décor is functional rather than fancy or modern. Pricing from B2,500.

It is a few steps to the beach and the downstairs restaurant serves awesome quality food at low prices. Bedrooms are a decent size, with okay décor and even a partial kitchenette. A good deal for the price. Pricing from B700.

You can choose between staying in the Park Wing (which has the landmark Pattaya Park Tower sprouting out the top), or the Tower Wing (a newer building off to the side) or the bungalows and townhouses scattered around the property (the latter are better for longer term stays).
