Central Pattaya

  • AA Hotel Pattaya [CPH01; W] – +66 38 420 894; This hotel doesn’t seem to have its own website, but you can easily book them via an agent or online service. This is an attractive boutique hotel right across from the beach in one of the most central parts of Pattaya. Rooms are basic but great value considering the price and location. Pricing from B950.
  • Ambiance Hotel [CPH31; G,W] – www.ambiancehotel.com; +66 38 424 099; ambiance@loxinfo.co.th; Note, this is located in the middle of “Boyz Town” (ie the gay nightclub district in Pattaya). Pricing from B1,100.
  • Aya Boutique Hotel [CPH32; P,G,W] – www.ayapattayahotel.com; +66 38 909 555; reservation@ayapattayahotel.com; This is what a boutique hotel should be. This popular hotel offers very well appointed rooms together with a cool indoor swimming pool and modern general environment. Pricing from B2,100.
  • Baron Beach Hotel [CPH02; P,W]– www.baronbeach.com; +66 38 052 345-54; baronbeachhotel@hotmail.com; This is a fairly new hotel (2009) that offers decent sized and nicely appointed rooms. In the centre is an attractive and peaceful pool area. It is located in Soi 9, which is one of the more peaceful streets off Beach Road, but still right near the action, including being next door to Central Festival. Pricing from B1,500.
  • The Bayview Hotel (originally the Siam Bayview) [CPH03; P,G,T,W] – www.thebayviewpattaya.com; +66 38 423 871; thebayview@sukosolhotels.com. This is another luxury old-timer that was built in 1982 and inhabits a large plot of land adjacent to Beach Road. It is now owned by the Sukosol Hotels chain which has some pretty luxurious hotels in Pattaya and Bangkok. What they have done with the Bayview is very funky, with some rooms offering different themes, such as the Safari Room and the Moroccan. Pricing from B2,200 (flash discount) although more standard pricing is around B4,000.
  • Baywalk Residence Pattaya [CPH33; P,G,W] – www/baywalkresidencepattaya.com; +66 38 711 300; This is a 2008 project in which a whole block off Beach Road (next to Royal Garden Plaza) was demolished and replaced with attractive new buildings, forming a new shopping, accommodation and eating precinct. This is an attractive area to stay in. Pricing from B1,900 (although standard, non sale, pricing is about double this).
  • The Copa Hotel Pattaya (formerly the Copa Guesthouse) [CPH34; W] – www.copapattaya.com/index.html; Note this is located in the middle of “Boyz Town” (ie the gay nightclub district in Pattaya). Rooms are okay, but the real appeal (for those into that sort of thing) is probably the “boys club” located on the ground floor. Pricing from B1,200.
  • Eastiny Bella Vista Hotel and Residence [CPH04;]– www.eastinypattaya.com/bella_vista; +66 38 362 132-5; eb@eastinypattaya.com; Another Eastiny hotel, this one is their el-cheapo boutique hotel located amongst all the bars of Soi 7. Things are pretty basic but clean and you get what you pay for… there’s no pool. Pricing from B700.
  • Eastiny Inn Hotel [CPH05; P] – www.eastinypattaya.com/inn; +66 38 361 688-9; ei@eastinypattaya.com; This is the 1997 instalment to the Eastiny Group of hotels. It’s a little more dated than Eastiny Seven but still offers okay rooms and some higher floor rooms have a sea view. It is located in between Soi 7 and 8 and right beside a major bar complex so can be quite noisy at night. Pricing from B1,000. .
  • Eastiny Place [CPH06; P] – www.eastinypattaya.com/place; +66 38 427 702-5; ep@eastinypattaya.com; This is one of the newer instalments in the Eastiny group and in a slightly more quiet location on Soi 8. Wifi can be purchased as an add-on in room but guests have complained about slow speeds or connection issues. Pricing from B1,200.
  • Eastiny Plaza Hotel [CPH07; P] – www.eastinypattaya.com/plaza; +66 38 362 136-40; plaza@eastinypattaya.com; This is the 2007 instalment to the Eastiny Group of hotels and this one focuses on offering larger rooms. Being one of the newer members to the group, the facilities are more modern, although there is still no in-room wifi. Pricing from B1,400.
  • Eastiny Residence Hotel [CPH08; P] – www.eastinypattaya.com/residence; +66 38 711 158; er@eastinypattay.com; This is one of the older Eastiny properties, but is located in peaceful Soi 10. Rooms are reasonable, and there are occasionally special offers that include free wifi. Pricing from B900.
  • Eastiny Seven [CPH09; P]– www.eastinypattaya.com/seven; +66 38 416 272-9; soi7@eastinypattaya.com; This is the 2005 instalment to the Eastiny Group of hotels that inundates the Central Pattaya area. Similar to the Flipper Group, this hotel group is renowned for offering comfortable rooms and facilities at reasonable prices. Due to its location in Soi 7, just across from a major bar complex, things can be a bit noisy at night and the tiled floors and bare hallways compound the problem. Pricing from B1,100.
  • Flipper House Hotel [CPH10; P]– www.flipperhotels.com/flipper_house; +66 38 361 667-71; house@flipperhotels.com; This is the 1994 instalment to the Flipper Group of hotels. This one is located towards the Second Rd end of Soi 7 but some of the higher rooms still offer a sea view. This group is renowned for offering modern, comfortable rooms and facilities at reasonable prices. Pricing from B1,100.
  • Flipper Lodge Hotel [CPH11; P]– www.flipperhotels.com/flipper_lodge; +66 38 426 401-2; lodge@flipperhotels.com; This is the original Flipper Lodge that in its day set the standard for medium class hotels by showing you could offer full featured, comfortable rooms, without charging luxury resort prices. The original hotel was built in 1990, although there is now a newer, adjoining building and things have been generally updated. We still recommend you get a room in the newer building (Building B) as they are really nice. Located right across from the beach and even the pool has a sea view. Pricing from B1,500.
  • Green Hotel Pattaya [CPH12; P] – No direct contact details available (book via an agent or online service); This is an old hotel (early 1980s) located in quiet Soi 9. It offers an attractive small pool and beer garden at the front and rooms have balconies (although the view tends to be of concrete walls of nearby buildings). The hotel is quite dated, notwithstanding some renovations over the years and it could use some further updating. However, if you are on a bit of a budget, the price is not bad given how central you are to everything. Pricing from B836.
  • The Haven Hotel [CPH13; P,W] – www.thehaven-hotel.com; +66 38 710 988-9; admin@thehaven-hotel.com; Recently refurbished boutique hotel with comfortable rooms all facing the central pool area. The in-house Thai restaurant is quite popular as well. Pricing from B1,200;
  • High Five Hotel [CPH14; P] – www.highfivehotel.com; +66 38 427 111-4; highfivehotelpattaya@gmail.com; Located on the corner of Soi 8 and Second Road. Not a bad deal for the price given its location, although no in-room wi-fi and things could use a bit of sprucing up. Pricing from B1,000.
  • Hilton Pattaya [CPH15; P,G] – www.hilton.com/pattaya; +66 38 253 000; pattaya.sales@hilton.com; Located above and integrated with Central Festival Shopping Centre. This is the best 5 star option in Central Pattaya and in our top 5 list, offering all the usual Hilton International comforts and photogenic interior designs. However, given the price, there are little details with this hotel that may disappoint some, such as the lack of sufficient cupboard space in rooms, and the pool being located in a very cold location (making the water just a tad too cold during the cool season). Otherwise, this is an awesome place in a very convenient location and with some rather cool facilities that are worth discovering even if you are not staying at this hotel. Wifi is extra. Pricing from B4,900.
  • Honey Lodge [CPH35; P] – No direct contact details available (book via an agent or online service); This is another old-timer that has a very central location near the start of Walking Street, yet tucked sufficiently away for a bit of peace and quiet. The entire hotel was renovated in 2012 and rooms are quite comfortable. Wifi is an extra charge. Expect that some guests may be renting by the hour. Pricing from B1,200.
  • Imperial Residence [CPH16; W]– +66 38 710 383; Note the hotel does have a website but at the time of writing, Google lists the site as being a risk for malware; Well located on the corner of Beach Road and Soi 10. The rooms have great access to light with lots of windows and sea views. However, the building could use a bit of a sprucing up. Pricing from B1,700.
  • Inn House Pattaya [CPH17, P,W] – innhousepattaya.com; +66 415 709-16; info@innhousegroup.com; Has a roof top pool offering good views and higher floor rooms will have decent views. Neat and tidy but basic rooms. Pricing from B1,200.
  • Lido Beach Hotel [CPH36; W] – www.lidobeachpattaya.com; +66 38 422 858; lidobeachhotel@gmail.com; This hotel opened in about 1984 and is worth a trip down memory lane, as not much has changed over the years. Notwithstanding its age, rooms are clean and reasonably furnished. There are larger rooms available for bigger groups. This hotel is well located just across from the beach and just a few steps away from the start of Walking Street. Pricing from B1,400
  • LK The Empress [CPH18; P,G,W]– +66 38 710 888; There is a website although as of this writing it’s domain was suspended. This is an attractive new hotel that certainly lives up to its name. The décor in the lobby and rooms is reminiscent of the 19th Century European aristocracy. Location is excellent on the corner of Soi 12 and Beach Road. Pricing from B2,500.
  • Ma Maison Hotel Pattaya [CPH19; P,W] – www.mamaison-hotel.com; +66 38 710 433-4; This is a Swiss managed boutique hotel towards the Beach Road end of Soi 13, so if you like things running like clockwork, then this is the place. The hotel’s restaurant gets good reviews and offers French, Norwegian, Swiss and Thai food. Pricing from B1,520.
  • Marriott Pattaya Resort and Spa [CPH37, P,G,T] – www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/pyxmc-pattaya-marriott-resort-and-spa; +66 38 412 120; This is a 5 star resort that is attached to the Royal Garden Plaza shopping centre and Ripley’s Believe it or Not museum. The interior Thai styled tropical garden is very nicely appointed and worth a view (check out the rest rooms adjoining the gardens as well). Wifi is an extra add-on. Pricing from B4,900
  • Mike Hotel [CPH38; P,G,W] – www.mikehotel.com; +66 38 422 222-9; mikehotel_ptty1@hotmail.com; Built in 1986 and attached to the Mike Shopping Centre (don’t confuse this with the newer and bigger Mike Department Store; MSC is a small run down tourist souvenir market rather than department store). Rooms are very basic, but the hotel does have facilities such as pool and gym, as well as a “physical massage”. Overall location is quite good, right next door to the start of Walking Street. However, expect that some guests may be renting by the hour. Pricing from B1,100.
  • Natural Beach Hotel and Baan Sila Wing [CPH20; P,W] – www.naturalbeach.com; +66 38 429 239; help@naturalbeach.com; Both are well located next door to each other on the corner of Beach Road and quiet Soi 11. Furnishings in both have a fairly dated feel though, but everything is neat and comfortable. Pricing from B1,100 (B1,400 for Baan Sila).
  • Nautical Inn [CPH21; P] – www.nauticalinn.co.th; +66 38 429 890; reservation@nauticalinn.co.th; This is the first central Pattaya hotel and the first Pattaya bar (located off from the lobby). The original (lower rise) building was erected in the 1960s and the main building is a newer edition that was erected in 1980. Staying here means experiencing a slice of original Pattaya history. Rooms are not bad and have been updated slightly in more recent years. In addition, the pool area is quite spacious. We recommend you stay in the main (newer) building as you will get a better view. Pricing from B1,200
  • Page 10 Hotel [CPH22; P,G,W] – www.page10hotel.com; +66 38 423 245-7; rsvn@page10hotel.com; A nice modern hotel in a central location on Soi 10, not far from Central Festival. Due to it being next door to a beer bar complex, if you intend on sleeping early, we suggest you request a room on the Central Festival (Northern) side of the hotel, not the Soi 10 side. In our view, this is currently one of the best options in this price category. Pricing from B2,000.
  • Pattaya Centre Hotel [CPH23; P] – www.pattayacentrehotel.net; +66 38 425 877-8; info@pattayacentrehotel.net; This is a large building that dominates the Central Pattaya skyline and was built in the 1990s. Due to its size, it is popular with package tourists and business conventions. It was last renovated in 2010, although there are some complaints regarding maintenance and service standards. Notwithstanding that, the value for money is pretty good considering location, facilities and the great views. Pricing from B1,500.
  • Penthouse Hotel Pattaya [CPH39; P,W] – www.penthousehotel.com; +66 38 710 917; Note, this is very much a hotel for single adult males looking to indulge in the red-light scene and is located in Soi Pattayaland which is a red light district. That being said, the rooms are very uniquely decorated, each with their own red light theme. Pricing from B1,300 (peak season from B1,545).
  • The Privi Hotel [CPH40; W] – www.privihotel.com; +66 38 711 222; This is a very nice hotel in its price range with very nicely appointed rooms. Too bad there is no pool, but there are a couple of hot tubs instead. Pricing from B1,270.
  • Privi Suites Pattaya [CPH41; W] – www.privisuites.com; +66 38 711 222; Located on the Beach side of Second Road, this boutique hotel has nicely appointed rooms. The larger rooms in particular are well worth the price. Too bad there is no pool. Pricing from B1,100.
  • Queen Pattaya Hotel [CPH25; P,W] – www.queenpattaya.com; +66 38 428 234; Strange orange 4 storey building on Pattaya Khlang Rd just across from Tops Supermarket. Cheap pricing and short walk to the beach. Pricing from B900.
  • The Red Balcony Inn Pattaya [CPH42; W] – theredbalconypattaya.com; +66 38 424 059; info@theredbalconypattaya.com; Note, this property is located in Soi Pattayaland, which is very much a red light district and is also next door to “Boyz Town” (ie the gay nightclub district in Pattaya). This is a very well fitted out guest house with 18 rooms and attention to detail. Pricing from B1,500.
  • Sea Me Spring Hotel [CPH26; P,W] – www.seamespringhotel.com; +66 38 489 405-8; info@seamespringhotel.com; Similar to Page 10, although slightly more upmarket, and in a quieter part of Soi 10. Pricing from B2,200.

  • Sunshine Hotel and Residence [CPH28; P,W]– www.sunshinepattaya.com; +66 38 429 247; rsvn@sunshinepattaya.com. Located at the mid point of Soi 8, this is one of the more attractive Soi 7/8 accommodation options. Everything feels neat and airy. The pool is attractive and offers a nice view. Some of the standard rooms feel a bit narrow so you may want to ask to see your room before you commit. Pricing from B1,300.
  • View Talay 6 Condo [CPH29; P,W] – (Rentals offered via VTSix Condo Service www.vtsix.com; +66 38 412 494; vtsix@yahoo.com; and also via popular online services); Note, this is a condominium rather than a hotel, although it is run in kind of a hybrid format, with many rooms leased out via the rental company as agent for individual owners. You have the option of paying for house-keeping and/or laundry or alternatively, do it yourself. A free wifi signal is available although reliability has been an issue for some guests. Location is excellent and although the condominium is located on the Second Road side of the block, it has its own private walkway to Beach Road. Pricing from B2,000 (although better discounts are available for longer stays).
  • Westerly Hill Guest House [CPH43; W] – +66 (0)840 038 322; No website for this hotel but you could book via an on-line source or agent. Nothing special but the rooms are nicely appointed and clean. Pricing from B1,100.
  • The Whitehouse Condotel [CPH30; P,W] – www.whitehousecondotel.com; +66 38 426 222; info@whitehousecondotel.com; Although purporting to be a condotel, we class it more as a boutique hotel. Built in 2006 and renovated in 2013, this place is very modern and offers free wifi channeled into a high speed internet connection. The deluxe and deluxe suite rooms in particular are awesome value and very nicely furnished. Note, this hotel also seems popular with the golfing crowd. Pricing from B1,400.
